Curie es el nombre con que se ha bautizado al nuevo supercomputador francés y con el que se confirma el compromiso con el desarrollo de grandes infraestructuras de cálculo intensivo en Europa, dentro de la iniciativa PRACE.
Su diseño, basado en una arquitectura generalista y modular, permitirá ejecutar una gran variedad de aplicaciones en las distintas disciplinas científicas.

José Luis González, COMPUTAEX General Manager, has traveled to San Francisco to collect the Itanium Solutions Alliance prize in the category of "Humanitarian Impact". The "Humanitarian Impact" category rewards the innovative use of Itanium-based systems to deliver results that benefit humanity through research, social improvements or other humanitarian efforts.
